4 Stars Finally still Samsung
I tried Vizio, Sony and Samsung for the same size TV and finally decided to keep Samsung becasue of its picture quality. The color of the previous two TVs are not that natural and have a red tint on everything, no matter how I adjust it. The colors of Samsung is turer to life. Sound is OK. The only complaint is that I thought it has a USB input opening but it does not have.

I researched this tv on samsung’s website and others and couldn’t figure out if it was actually a 3000:1 ratio or 5000:1 ratio. it was advertised as both, depending on where you looked. i took a chance and paid the extra hundred or so dollars, only to find out it was 3000:1. so why did i pay more money? otherwise, the tv’s picture is super sharp and i have no complaints about that. the sound is horrible…you have to max it out just to get a medium volume, but my previous tv was the same way. set up was easy and the touch of color is nice, but not worth an extra hundred. overall, it’s a great little 22″ tv…probably better than most.

Setup was quick and easy (almost took 45 min.)

Very happy. Read other reviews on the plus side.

Neg. side is the sound (solved by conecting speakers to the headphone jack)btw, stand could be better but OK. Your gonna love this TV.

PS. On antenna went from 6 stations to 26…

2 Stars Good set for cable/satellite, poor for OTA
Samsung HDTVs are highly rated for image quality, but reviews seldom (or never) mention the poor OTA features of these sets.

Like many other TVs in this category, this unit has a very narrow vertical viewing angle. There is no tilt adjustment on the included base. Some reds are poorly rendered, turning them to a “fluorescent” hue which is very distracting and out of step with the rest of the image. Like I said, these problems are common, and this set is no worse (or better) than others in its class.

After pressing the power button, the set takes in excess of 5 seconds before displaying an image (in OTA mode). It takes a while to get used to such delay. What you will never get used to is the remote. Never seen a more poorly designed one; it borders on useless.

The OTA features are very poor. This set will actually remove a channel from your Favorite list if, while watching it, the signal is lost for several seconds. Once a channel is then gone from your All list, there isn’t a way to directly tune back to it; the set will not acknowledge direct tuning to that channel, even if the signal has returned. Your only option is to autoscan again, thereby losing your Favorite list completely.

This tuner also does not decode EPG information sent by OTA stations, and is limited to showing details for the current program only. The lack of such basic feature, coupled with the tuning issues listed above (and a poorly designed remote) are the reasons for my 2-star rating.

5 Stars Just Perfect
I own three TOC Samsung’s. This little TV is perfect for my kitchen area. Great picture and amazing High Def picture. I hooked it up to my outdoor antenna and scanned for Digital channels. That’s all I need.
