The Bravia TVs in this series are flawed because of an “auto dimming” feature that cannot be disabled. Whenever there is a dark scene in the program you are watching, the picture dims making it difficult to see. Sony claims this is an intended feature but when you see it at work you will know that is a lie. The TV would be great if not for this deal-breaking flaw.

With the above in mind, DO NOT buy because you’ll be extremely displeased and compelled to return.

I purchased this tv online, got a good price for it. Once I got it home it was a cinch to install. The picture and sound is amazing even without the HDMI cable. I would give more than five stars if I could. AMAZING.

Set my 46V5100 up in a bedroom environment and have been wonderfully satisfied ever since. The picture is amazing, the sound quality works very well after a little simple adjustment to suite my individual preferences (base and treble) and the remote control is easy to navigate even in the dark. If the price works in what ever budget you have set than this is the TV for you.
