5 Stars Awesome monitor and TV!
I have this hooked up to my laptop as an extended monitor with an HDMI cable, hooked up to my desktop PC as an extended monitor through a DVI cable, and hooked up to my cable box through another HDMI cable. I switch between sources using the remote control. Everything works great! Price was unbelievable for everything you get with this, including a TV tuner (if you need it). Like one other review said though, just make sure your video card can handle the capabilities of the resolution and dual monitor configurations.
5 Stars Looking for the best of both and got it
From all aspects, I am pleased with this purchase. Quality, price, delivery and service have all been the best. Thank you Amazon
3 Stars viewing angle issue
Viewing the T260HD TV monitor from about 2 feet or less, with your eyes at dead center, colors at the top are much darker than colors at the bottom. If brightness/darkness of colors when viewing up close matters to you, beware.
2 Stars Review for Just the TV Aspect of Monitor
As the title of my review stated i’m basing my review on just the tv aspect of the t260HD not for a computer monitor. I’ve had the samsung t260HD now for about 7 months and i can honestly say this is definitely not a good monitor/tv for basic cable watching. First of all the picture if somewhat very washed and lacking in color. What makes it frustrating is the viewing angle.. i rushed into buying this tv/monitor and ignored the viewing angle specs. The up and down vertical viewing angle is horrific. As you watch this tv at a low angle dark scenes becoming extremely dark and you can barely see anything. HD in this however is exceptional. The higher you put the contrast and brightness the more the colors get washed. overall i don’t recommend this product for watching television, i can’t put my input on the monitor b/c i haven’t used it via computer.
5 Stars Quality Built, Perfect size, Tons of features
First off, if you are looking at these reviews, you are attempting to do your homework, which is a great thing. Larger sized monitors are not cheap and you want the best bang for your buck, obviously. So, with that said…here’s my review on the Samsung T260HD.
Originally, I was going to use this product in my office as a monitor for my PC. I do some graphics work and 3D (Autodesk) work here and there. It’s nice to have the workspace provided in a 24 inch monitor or larger. I originally had a 20 inch Dell (which worked great), but I noticed over time, I always found myself leaning forward to see the monitor…which caused slight pains in my back later on that night. Working at a high resolution will also cause this issue, as the text/font becomes much smaller, along with icons, images, etc.
A friend of my called me up and mentioned this monitor was on sale, and when I saw that there was a huge rebate on it, it soon became an impulse buy. After I made the initial purchase, I thought…hmm…I didn’t do too much research on OTHER monitors, so I don’t know if I am really getting that good of a deal. Luckily, I was. I quickly went through dozens and dozens of reviews on other monitors (Hanns 28 inch, Acer 25.5, DoubleSight, etc.). Honestly, I’m not sure why anyone would purchase another monitor, anywhere else, unless you were looking to spend crazy cash…(i.e. Apple 30 inch monitor).
Upon the arrival/opening of my new 25.5 inch HD monitor from Samsung, I was very pleased. As usual, Amazon shipped it in a very timely and secure fashion (they’re much better now – and the free shipping is always a plus).
The construction is really, REALLY nice quality. Even better than some of the best Dell monitors we have at work. They have really thought about the connections and the TV tuner is a nice added bonus.
When I finally went to install it, I actually found myself using this monitor as a TV instead in our bedroom. It’s size is just right for our tall dresser and almost feels like the room is a tiny bit bigger (we replaced our tube 20 inch tv). One important thing I would like to clarify on this LCD. The viewing angle at eye level is great. Side to side and kinda looking down on it isn’t bad either. However, as you begin to look up at it (i.e. mounted high or if you were on the floor) it becomes very dark…so you may want to take that into consideration. With all this said, here’s the (quick) rest of the breakdown:
- nice laid out menus and easy to setup/clear channels
- speakers are FAIR…but this is expected on this size of a LCD TV
- connections are well thought out and plenty of options
- resolution is nice and crisp, no vague lighting spots
- build and construction is of great quality. I applaud Samsung’s design
- clarity and color are nice. Some of the channels themselves may broadcast in different colors/brightness’ as we have found out.
Overall, we are very pleased with this HDTV, so much that I bought practically this same model (the T260) for my office, which I wrote another review for…has some other details…
Hope this helps with your decision.

5 Stars Great bang for the buck.
For us this has been the perfect 2nd TV. Outstanding picture quality, good viewing angles, and good sound.
4 Stars Small room TV
Bought this as a TV for my bedroom.
Does the job and looks good.
It has a good picture although a little dark.
I have it hooked to a non-HD Direct TV box.
Just remember you can not mount it on the wall.
Would recommend to buy especially for the price (I paid $300).
5 Stars If it wasn’t for cable provider, it’s a PERFECT TV
OK, I understand that this is primarily a monitor, and for that purpose it has many inputs. I also knew before purchasing that the only TV inputs are HDMI and Cable-In. I suppose I blame the cable provider in British Columbia, Shaw Cable, as their new non-HD tiny boxes lack many of the connections that the previous (larger) Motorolas had. If Shaw manages to get the HD boxes to that size, they will have HDMI ports and I will be able to take full advantage! Even so, the picture quality is AMAZING and WAY cheaper than a conventional 22″ LCDTV. Looks sharp in my kitchen!!
5 Stars Superb quality for the buck!
Better than expected! Great style and resolution. Had to install monitor driver file from the CD to select correct resolution.
5 Stars What I was looking for
I upgraded my computer and because I used the old monitor with the new computer I needed another one. After much research I decided to use a flat screen TV as moniter. The old computer has goodies on it I didn’t want to lose but only would be use when needed. No Inerent conection. It sits right next to a 26″ LCDTV so right now, I watch the Baseball (muted) game on the Samsung tv while watching my favorite TV shows on the 26″ TV. The Samsung T220HD was just what I was looking for. All the connections I needed, beautiful picture when ajusted for TV or Computer Monitor. No sound problems. Also very easy to switch between the two. Works great as TV or Computer Monitor. I might add that I have cable so there are no tv reception problems. The tv/computer cable that came with the TV was all I needed to make the computer work so I’m happy. 5 star, I recomend the Touch of Color.

5 Stars best montior/tv on the market by far!
i would recomend this product to anyone out there- well worth every penny and you’ll never be disappointed with your purchase!!
4 Stars trailer tv
recently bought a camper/trailer for my son and I to go to on weekends. Campgrounds have everything now including cable tv hook ups. I was looking for an inexpensive LCD with good features. All the “cheap” ones in the stores are just that, very cheap with little or no contrast and a very poor picture. I have had Samsung products in the past and have been pleased. At the time I purchased the Samsung T200HD they offered a $50 mail in rebate on top of a very good price to begin with. Very happy with all the feature and picture quality. There is no comparison between this and the “no name” brands at retail stores.
5 Stars Great Price for 20 inch hdtv
I had bought this Samsung Hdtv Lcd, and it’s a great bargain for the size. I highly recommend.
thanks Amazon for the great prices.
5 Stars Better than expected
Arrived 2 days after ordering. Easy to assemble; easy to set up and scan for digital channels. Good tuner pulls in a lot of channels over the air from an outside antenna. Guess it is a sign of the times but wish it had rear inputs for an analog VCR and DVD player. (It does have the standard R-G-B video and L-R sound inputs.) Having picture size and closed caption buttons on the remote is great. Source button–TV, computer, DVD–also on remote makes for easy switching between them. Picture needed no adjustment from factory settings which is also great. Would definitely recommend it and plan on purchasing another in the future.
5 Stars Great Product!
This is an excellent product. I am a college student and am cramped for space. This doubles as a TV and my secondary computer monitor and I love it. The picture quality is amazing!
The only thing I do not like about it was the lack of composite inputs (yellow, red, white). Component inputs are nice, but I still had other peripherals (VCR, NES, XBOX) that I wanted to hook up. This was a fairly simple fix with an RF modulator that you can pick up fairly cheap (I found one a Walmart that suits me just fine for $20).
Overall this is a great TV/Monitor and I would definitely purchase it again.
