Jack Reacher, the taciturn ex-MP whose adventures in Lee Child’s six previous solidly plotted, expertly paced thrillers have won a devoted fan base, returns in this explosive tale of an undercover operation set up by the FBI to rescue an agent investigating Zachary Beck, a reclusive tycoon believed to be a kingpin in the drug trade. The novel begins with a bang as Reacher rescues Beck’s son from a staged kidnapping in order to get close to his father–and trace the connection between Beck and Quinn, a former army intelligence officer who tried to sell blueprints of a secret weapon to Iraq but was murdered before he could pull it off. Or so Reacher thinks, until he spots Quinn in the crowd at a concert in Boston. As usual, Child ratchets up the tension and keeps the reader in suspense until the last page, although his enigmatic hero hardly ever seems to break a sweat. In the tough guy tradition, Reacher and his creator are overdue for a breakout, and this muscular, well-written mystery might be the one. –Jane Adams
5 Stars gripping book
I read all the time, and this is one of the best books I have ever read.
4 Stars My first Lee Child book but not my last
Enjoyed it. Kept my attention most of the time. The last chapter was incredible. Get it.
1 Star Did a third-grader write this?
I have no idea if the plot and story are good, because I couldn’t get through the first few pages with the short uninventive sentences. I am so annoyed and irritated by the writing style that I don’t think I will bother going on.
I jumped ahead a few chapters to find the same uninteresting writing style.
I say don’t bother with this book.
4 Stars First time Lee Child reader
I just finished Persuader, on my 3 week old Kindle 2. I had never heard of this series and only discovered it because it was being offered free on the Kindle. I read it non-stop, and now I am a fan. I’ll buy others as I can.
5 Stars Jack Reacher
WOW! This was my first Lee Child/Jack Reacher book and it certainly will NOT be my last! I couldn’t put it down. I loved Jack Reacher from page one and that love only grew the longer I read. He’s an incredible character! I’ve already pre-ordered the Kindle book coming out in May and cannot wait to read it! Lee Child has a brand new fan. Where has he been all my life?? I can’t believe what I’ve been missing! Never again. Any book he writes from here on out, is mine.

5 Stars nice guide for the kindle 2
only a penny and lots of tips and links. A must have for kindle useres!
5 Stars The best part of the guide are direct links to various websites
The shortcuts are useful. They improve overall control over Kindle dramatically.
The best part of the guide are direct links to various websites such as Wapedia, Google mobile, etc. They allow direct access to huge number of websites. I no longer have to type “http://…..”, I just click on the website. The list of websites is quite comprehensive with a lot of news, sports, entertainment, travel, and reference sites. There is even measures converting web site. Most websites provide information as simple text so the pages load quickly. My favorite though is Humor category. Daily jokes from Humor Break make my daily commute an enjoyable experience, something I am looking forward to each morning.
5 Stars If you have either Kindle
GET THIS. For $.99, you cannot go wrong with the shortcuts. I now keep up with my email and can start and stop my music with a press of a key.
There are a few more shortcuts, plus, a list of Web sites you can use with your Kindle.
5 Stars Comments from the Publisher
Comments from the Publisher:
Each shortcut was thoroughly tested on both Kindle 1 and Kindle 2 devices. Brian’s confusion probably derives from the fact that this Kindle Guide has 2 sections: one section describes shortcuts available in Kindle 1 and a separate section describes shortcuts available in Kindle 2. The shortcuts are different. If one looks in the wrong section, some shortcuts will not work. We addressed this issue in version 11.2 by indicating the relevant Kindle (1 or 2) next to each shortcut subtitle.
We have also added over 100 Kindle-friendly websites organized by category. If you found a website that we don’t have please email us or post it here and we will add it to the next edition of the guide, so that you will not need to type the URL.
Finally we have added a section on How to eMail from Kindle with link to most popular services: GMail, Yahoo, Comcast and Hotmail.
Enjoy!

5 Stars THe Place To Start
Kindle Shortcuts and Kindle-friendly Websites. This concise Kindle user guide describes keyboard shortcuts and hidden Kindle features for both Kindle 2 and Kindle 1. Updated 04/28/2009
This is a wonderful straight forward ebook for Kindle users. The ebook does not assume that you have a basic knowledge of Kindle controls. It gives you valuable instructions so you could get a desired result. I strongly recommend this ebook.
Lieutenant Magdalena Cruz had come home-And though all she wanted was to be alone, infuriatingly handsome Dr. Jake Dalton-of the enemy Daltons-wouldn’t cooperate. And she needed him to, because the walls around her heart were dangerously close to crumbling every time he came near.-
Jake had spent most of his life trying to get closer to Maggie, with little to show for it. But she was the woman he’d always wanted, and no injury in the world could change that. Now if only he could convince her that the woman who stood before him was beautiful, desirable, whole-and meant to be his.-
5 Stars Outstanding Book.
I have nothing but great things to say about this book. The storyline is outstanding and very inspirational. Once you read this book you ll view love in a more meaningful light. I ll recommend this work to any and every that wants to better understand life s positives.
5 Stars A fast read two day-tops
Albeit some parts are really predictable this is a good reading story. I didn’t write nice because when you read about an injured vet definitively the story is not nice no matter how nice are the love stories involved.
4 Stars A fun read
This is a fun and romantic novel with an interesting perspective. If you’re a fan of this type of novel, you’ll enjoy this book.
5 Stars Dancing in the Moonlight
This was a delightful book and beautifully written. I originally read it because it was free, but now I will probably read everything this author has written.
1 Star Garbage
No rating on this trite piece of garbage. Painful to read several pages into the first chapter. Don’t waste your money.
