5 Stars Obscenely Incredible! It’s a scandal!
I purchased this TV to use as a monitor. What an obscenely beautiful monitor it is! The images are almost 3D and crystal clear. My Samsung 22″ monitor does not measure up. Streaming TV shows from HULU & Joost are incredible! With this gorgeous monitor, I don’t have to adjust the zoom & text sizes, no matter what. I cannot find any negative feature on this. Now, I am thinking of buying a game console very soon.
4 Stars Sony Bravia 32″
Love this TV. It was easy for a single woman to set up alone. Operations are easy; great design. My only complaint is the delay between channel changes is pretty long, about 2 or 3 seconds. Other than that, the picture is great, the sound is excellent (front facing speaker), and the remote control is simple. Great TV for the price.
5 Stars Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-32M4000 32″ 720p LCD HDTV
Love it… Compare it with the same type Vizio 32″ 720p HDTV and there’s a big difference in tuner signal … I paid an extra 70 bucks for the sony and satified with the performance…
4 Stars Quite Expensive TV
I have two 32in TV. One from Samsung, which I bought for 350 as a used product (it’s 2 year old product). I also got Sony for $480 brand New. I was expecting some difference from Sony vs Samsung, not because of the Brand, but because of the relatively newer technology from Sony. After having played with picture setting, I still liked Samsung better. Also, for some reason, Samsung screen feels bigger as well. I’m not saying Sony has bad picture, but if you can get a decent price for older LCD, you are not going to find much difference as long as you are getting one from one of these name brands. I use the TV for signals from PS3 and Cable as well as signals off the air.
5 Stars Not perfect, but I couldn’t give 4.5 stars
Bought this primarily for watching HD movies and playing HD games via Xbox 360. I knew that there would be a bit of lag with it, but I had judged it to be negligible from my experiences with an LG 32″ I had. Wasn’t a good judging stick. The LG blows away the Bravia in this sense, in all others though, the Bravia comes out on top. Great picture, good color depth, nice and bright when I need it, and HD movies come out crisp and clear. However, the dark side to LCD technology is the lag that shows up when playing fast moving games. The good news, is that for a 32″ LCD, it’s actually not too bad. Right around 42ms. That can have serious consequences in an FPS style game, but once you get used to it, the lag basically disappears from your brain. Overall a great tv, well worth what I paid for it.

5 Stars 46″ Sony Bravia ‘Z’ Series
It’s only been almost a month since I got this product and so far, I haven’t encountered any problem. It worked beautifully out of the box, no glare and the picture is crisp and near perfect though I haven’t even done any adjustment yet (except turning off the light sensor as suggested by a lot of knowledgable reviewers). I mounted it on the wall so I couldn’t tell whether or not there’s any tilting problem. I am just hoping that I got the right (updated) base in case I decide to get it off the wall.
4 Stars Very Happy
A very enjoyable buying experience. No phone calls froma salesman trying to change the price or sell me warranty, extra, etc. Simple and straight forward.
4 Stars SONY LCD TV
Saw the actual product at a retail store, but by the time I decided to pick one up they were sold out. Found the same item here on Amazon for an even better price and bought it right away. Picture quality is awesome, sound is pretty good considering the size of the speakers but when you’re watching a blu-ray movie you might want to consider buying a sound system since it does not do its justice. The connections to HDMI, component, ETC are offset to the left so that if you mount the TV to a wall or something, it is still easily accessible. Overall something you would expect from SONY.
4 Stars Better than expected
I was unsure about ordering such an important part of my life online but my husband insisted that we do it. We went to a bunch of stores and picked out the type we wanted and then came to Amazon to try and find it. We got it for at least $400 less than any store around and the shipping was free. When we checked out the shipping dates were going to fall exactly when he and I were going to be out of state visiting family. We contacted the seller(late at night) and in less than 14 hours we got a personal response letting us know that they would hold on to the TV until we were back in town. It came the morning after we got home. Very great customer service there. We were both very impressed with the TV and delivery and the entire process. Now we have to switch out our regular cable box for an HD one and we are good to go.
5 Stars Good Purchase
I sure am glad that I found Bravia Z series! WIthout going up to an XBR, the Z series is the way to go. It has 1080 and 120Hz. If you look at the specs - most of the high end features offered by the XBR are already in the Z series, so it is a really good value when viewed that way. What a great looking TV (both the picture and the case). I have been extremely impressed with both the blacks on this LCD as well as the vivid colors it produces. The 120hz mode is also wonderful when watching football. I really cannot say enough good things about this TV - spend the extra money that the Sony brand demands, and you get what you pay for.
Sony Bravia M Series KDL 19M4000 P 19 Inch 720p LCD HDTV White with Pink Accent

Want a small LCD TV that still brings a lot to the (kitchen) table? The KDL-19M4000 is Sony’s answer. With three HD connections (including HDMI, component, and PC input), a sleek design, and the picture quality you’ve come to expect from Sony, the KDL-19M4000 is designed to give you the performance you want in a more casual package. Perfect for the kitchen or bedroom.
5 Stars Typical Sony Quality & Great Reception
This is the second 19-inch LCD HDTV that I have bought, and the first Sony for this size.
I bought this white Sony to place in my kitchen where I have had a black Sharp 19-inch LCD HDTV (which I moved to a bedroom). Well first I found that the color is bright and the blacks are solid giving it an excellent picture. This white Sony is also a very attractive unit and perfect to have in a nice kitchen. It is also solid and easy to adjust how straight it stands up.
Plus, using the exact same rabbit ears from the Sharp HDTV it’s replacing in my kitchen, for over the air digital channels, the Sony has much better reception. I’m able to pickup more digital channels then I could with the Sharp.
I would certainly buy this Sony HDTV again.
3 Stars Some real answers
I have yet to make my purchase of this product but I intend to make an informed decision. I would be using this TV at university to play my PS3 and X Box 360 pro using HDMI outputs. Also I would probably be bringing it to and from different places for system link games. Which is why the handle seems a good thing for me. All of the reviews for this product do not tackle the HD capabilities of this device… How does a Blu Ray, not upscaled DVD look, or how about gaming, can anyone help?
4 Stars Great Buy !
Just purchased one of these at Costco for $249.00. Will set up and advise on the quality. This is to be used in a kitchen.
3 Stars Just OK
This Bravia replaced a Sharp Aquos counter top model which developed a shadow on the screen after about two years of use. It is larger (about 4″) picture wise than the Sharp and was the largest set I could find that would stand on the counter and fit under an overhead cabinet. It runs off a Direct TV, non-HDTV signal.
Factory preset picture settings were just awful with a very dark picture and odd glossy flesh tones. I tried to adjust the picture a number of times but finally realized I was trying to get the colors and resolution I was used to on the Sharp, which the Bravia apparently won’t do. If my set had true factory picture presets I can guarantee anyone else buying this set will be spending a lot of time trying to adjust the picture.
In addition, unless you are viewing the set from directly in front and at set level the picture washes out excessively which is annoying since a kitchen set is usually viewed from a number of angles.
I would definitely recommend viewing and comparing this set in a store before purchasing. I will probably be looking for a replacement set and relegate this one to a guest bedroom.
5 Stars Sony Bravia
We purchased this 19″ Sony Bravia Television to replace an old analog television in the bedroom of our 5th Wheel RV (mounts in a swing out cabinet). The picture and sound are great and passed our expectations but the best part is that the installation was a perfect fit with no pedestals to deal with. All we have to do is un-snap 2 clips and it becomes portable again and we can take it anywhere. We highly recommend it.
Sony Bravia XBR KDL 40XBR6 40 Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

Chock full of features including HD 1080p Resolution and Motionflow 120Hz technology that provide smooth, natural images. There are also numerous inputs including four HDMI connections, two HD Component connections, Digital Media Port and a PC input that offer you a wide range of Connectivity options. 5 Stars Basic greatness
I bought this from Fry’s at the beginning of March 09 and it is great. I have it hooked up to Direct TV, HD DVR and a Sharp VCR/DVD. The DVDs could be better, I know that’s the reason people go to Blueray but I’m not ready yet.
The TV is so clear and sharp it’s amazing. Especially TV shows with nature like Lost or Survivor, or sports. Watching a basketball game was like sitting at center court, I couldn’t believe it.
I almost bought the Samsung because I thought the color was brighter, but I’m glad I didn’t. The glare on the gloss - even on the Sony - is annoying. I have this in a really sunny room but even at night the lamps glare off the bevel. If the XBR had been available with the silver finish I would have gotten that.
I have to admit I have not really played with the picture controls - don’t feel the need to. This was totally worth it.
5 Stars Sony Bravia 40XBR6
I could not be happier with this purchase. I had to do my homework before deciding on which model to buy since I had not had any experience with LCD TV’s. The Sony definitely has the best and latest features. I purchased my tv through warehouse deals and saved about $700. A few minor scratches that cannot be seen without really looking for them. The picture is phenomenal and the sound is great with the HDMI cable. Do not use component cables, the sound is horrible! Huge difference when I upgraded to HDTV from Dish network. Now we have to tear ourselves away from the TV!
5 Stars Sony Bravia TV
The picture is like no other I’ve ever seen. Even when it is showing 1080I , the quality is like three-D.
The service from Amazon was beyond expectations.
5 Stars XBR + PS3 = Feast for your eyes
I just got the 40 inch XBR6 and hooked it up to my PS3 and I must say, “WOW!”. I was using my old CRT before and the games looked great already but since hooking it up to a 1080p set (with HDMI of course), I am sold on HDTV. The tv was fairly simple to set up. I don’t have cable so scanning for signals to about 20min for me. The speakers are a better than my old CRT but I’ve set up a sound system for movies and gaming. The cross media bar (menu) is easy to navigate and the remote control has a layout that is similar to controls of the past so it wasn’t confusing to use. I’ve played the same movie on my XBR (blu-ray & dvd), and I’m sold on the blu-ray format. Upconverted images looked better then dvds but they are certainly no substitute for true HD. My recommendation is: if anyone plans to get a 1080p tv, then they should also opt for a blu-ray player otherwise you’ll not get the full HD experience. Why shell out more for 1080p true HD when 720p sets are much cheaper? Am I right? I’m completely satisfied with this tv and it should last me until the next generation of tv viewing arrives. Perhaps HD 3D?
5 Stars Perfection - Period
I’ve had this fine TV for 2 months now and have exorcised all the demons you’ve probably read about. I got some THX blue glasses and made adjustments to “unvividized” the set. I’ve added a Samsung HT-Z310 Home Theater system, run a trick 5 wire component cable system to my Wii player. My HD provider is Dish Network. I’ve read the AVS forums and made my purchase decisions based on all I read there.
Here’s the good news, I bought it from Amazon, good price, no shipping problems. Took it out of the box, set it up, turned it on (SDTV) and WOW! Added the HD 2 weeks later and W O W!
No flashlights, no foggy splotches, deep blacks on DVD’s get pixely or splotchy sometimes but that’s about it. Wii comes alive with the component cable - didn’t try it on the standard cable - just remember to set it up as 480P!!
No fan noise - apparently a big complaint for some - my set made 10/08.
Bottom line - bought it, good price and delivery, easy setup, superb picture in all modes - only complaint - sound is kinda cheesy from onboard speakers - audio settings tweaks make it marginally better. But maybe its just my listening style. Thoroughly satisfied with my setup!
