5 Stars Highest quality, lowest price! Fit my new samsung 850 series!
I don’t normally take the time to write a review unless the product exceeded my expectations. I am thoroughly impressed here. I bought a new 50″ samsung. The new 850 series at best buy. The staff told me that the sanus and others would not be compatible with this model. They directed me to samsung’s $300.00 slim line picture-hanging-type mount. I declined and found this gem online. Glad I did! I figured with the low price, I might as well try it out and if it didn’t work out, no big deal.. maybe I could have modified it necessary. Well, I found this product to be of high quality and very simple to mount in no time. It came with levels as well! Also included is different screws for most Plasmas. In short, don’t waste your money on anything more expensive. If you have a four bolt square pattern anywhere in the back of your set, I can’t imagine it not working for your tv and doubt you will be disappointed.

4 Stars Cheetah Mount for LN40A550
I purchased this wall mount for my LN40A550. Unfortunately, the hardware was not in the box so I had to wait through the weekend got the hardware the middle of the following week. The hardware fit my TV well and once I drilled some holes in the wall studs, I hung the mount and set the TV on it. Other than that slight setback, I am very pleased with the build quality of the mount. It can handle my 50lb TV easily. I would definitely recommend to someone else. It sure beats spending $150-200 on a mount.

5 Stars Quality mount — not cheap but low-cost (by design). Like it.
I was skeptical of this mount. Why should this be so cheap compared to other mounting kits? I ordered one (due to the price), and prepared to return it if I did not think the mount could handle the weight of the 52″ LCD TV (Samsung).

Once I got it, I understood the cost. Good low-cost design and built with solid heavy duty steel.

- Two horizontal bars are load-bearing, and for proper VESA spacing, they have to be parallel and relative distance must be in the right tolerances. These are made of solid steel.

- Two vertical bars (in the wall mount) are flimsey, and that’s ok. it should be solid enough make a rectangle box w/ square angles. That’s it.

- Two vertical mounting (to the TV) brackets are of heavy duty metal. Making this in to two parts (not one), reduction of material, but also allows free horizontal adjustment on the TV mount.

- By doing the above, the kit is small, uses less metal (and reduce shipping and material waste).

1. Good solid and heavy duty construction.

2. Good value (low-cost). Paid < << $[...] including shipping.

3. Easy install. Took 15 min to figure out the instruction (which is not totally clear), and 10~15 min to install and ready to watch.

4. built-in level worked well during marking of mouting holes on the wall –I tested w/ my own, and was consistent.

5. Once the mounted on the wall, and bracket on TV, you could adjust horizontal TV placement on the mount, just by sliding few inches left or right, post install. I expect this to be safe and true if the wall mount is directly screwed into the wall studs. I do not expect dry-wall install without the use of the studs to handle such adjustment.

6. The brackets on TV could also be used to adjust vertical TV placement by a few inches up and down. But for this one, you’ll need to lift TV off the bracket and adjust and pull back :-).

7. There is a reasonable space (I would say, just right) from the wall to the TV to get cables/connectors through WITHOUT using any expensive 90 degree connectors. Plenty of space between two horizontal bars to put extra power outlet and data HDMI cable outlet to hide all the cables.

8. This supports tilt up/down, and works well. Amazon product description does not make it clear.

1. Just one. Clearer instruction so that I do not need to spend 15 min figuring things out. One could learn a lot form IKEA :-).

2. Packing/Packaging — Not necessarily Cheetah Mount issue — mine came w/o missing parts, although I noticed torn cardboard box edges and some parts COULD have been lost during shipping. Either double box, or have Cheetah use heavier box stock.

1. DO NOT forget to tighten the screws (2) on the bottom horizontal bars AFTER TV is placed on the wall mount — especially if you are in CA w/ quake. This is what prevents TV falling off the mount accidentally. But do not over-tighten (you are NOT securing from left-to-right movement).

2. Very happy w/ my purchase. Will get one more for my other TV.

5 Stars Fast delivery and easy set up.
I ordered this item and received it within a matter of days. The secondary bubble level I received was not magnetic and the leveler that was supposed to be built into the mount had fallen off. Other than this the item was more than adequate for my needs. They also included an array of attachment screws for different types of televisions. Using a drill and socket wrench I was able to hang the wall mount in under 10 minutes. I do suggest using your own leveler since the ones included are not accurate. Over all when looking at the price of other wall mounts on the market, this is an extremely good deal and a trustworthy product.

This TV is a great value. It looks excellent (especially when connected to a Sony BluRay). The adjustable backlight with light sensor is a nice feature.

It has excellent picture quality. Standard definition channels look better than they do an a tube TV. The HD channels look amazing.

It has a good number of HDMI inputs and enough connectivity to other devices.

Sound quality is excellent as well - but can always improve by hooking up a surround sound system.

You won’t regret purchasing this TV.

5 Stars Good device for good price
I just received this television. My first impression is great. I’ve been investigating diffrent brands and different models of LCD TV’s for a while. Here is the conclusion I reached and the reasons for purchasing this TV:

* Sony has great models for over $2500. They have great picture but not great enough to compensate for the couple of thousand extra dollars paid. I saw 46XBR6 and 46V5100 next to each other in BB and did not see a significant difference except the price.

* Samsungs have great LCD TVs. But glossy screen would not work for me at all. I have a bright living room where my TV is located. So, if you will have your TV in a bright room, you probably would like to avoid glossy screens like Samsung has. It really reflects a lot almost like a mirror. This was a big deal for me.

Now, my experice with KDL46V5100 is as follows:

It has great picture quality. I did not expect it to be so good at even SD. It is very easy to use. We plugged the TV and started to use it right away. Even user’s manual is just a few pages. Before buying the TV I paid extra attention to the wide angle performance. This TV has about the same view from front and from sides: no changes in color or image quality with angle that I recognized.

I am extremely satisfied with the Amazon delivery. They brought the TV, unpacked it and installed the TV on the stand.

Good TV for good price and good service from Amazon…

5 Stars Buy this one, not the Samsung!
I researched 46 inch lcd tv’s for months, and every site recommended the Samsung 550, so I bought it. I’m not a techie, so I’ll just say this: the speakers on all Samsungs are on the bottom of the set, so unless you know how to hook it up to an external sound system, every show will sound like you’re inside a tin can with the lid closed. I sent it back and got the Sony, which is a VAST improvement; the speakers are on the front of the set, where they belong. The picture is sharp, colors saturated and beautiful, it’s easy to navigate. It’s a great TV. Unlike the Samsung, which is incredibly shiny and reflective, the Sony even looks great in my living room. I love it!

1 Star I’m Frightened!!! But, It’s Okay…I can still Return It!!
Just got this TV last weekend…picture quality on regular channels IS FAR WORSE than on my cheapo $300 regular TV we had used for years! Anyway, We have a HD Comcast box…and the HD Channels are really great, but most of the channels are regular..and they are HORRIBLE!!! I mean there is a constant GRAININESS to all the channels, its just hard to even try to watch a channel…or everything looks like its from a camcorder. I am not happy. Then yesterday, the sound just died…its still there, don’t get me wrong, but I hear this buzzing sound behind the sound from the TV and its SO LOW I can hardly hear the words people are saying. OK, so sound is bad now, and buzzing noise, and normal channels SUCK SO BAD its not even funny! It’s unwatchable..I was expecting a little more from a $1500 tv, i am returning it this weekend! Maybe I will get Samsung.
